Here's our list of Greatest War Movies. We didn't consider the oldest movies since we're not much familiar with them. Nevertheless this list is based on many factors including their overall success, awards, popularity, true greatness and more than all how much memorable they are.

2. Black Hawk Down (2001)

The true story of the United States' involvement in Somalia during an ill-fated humanitarian mission. On October 3, 1993, U.S. soldiers entered Somalia on an exercise that was supposed to take less than an hour. The mission turned into a nightlong battle against thousands of heavily armed Somalians. Eighteen U.S. soldiers and more than 500 Somalians were killed as a result of this conflict

After two helicopters are shot down in Somalia, a team of soldiers led by Josh Hartnett is sent on a rescue mission.
